Born from humble beginnings, Scott’s fruit and vegetable supplies actually started with one man delivering household supplies on his bike, straight out of the Royal Navy. That man was Sydney B Scott.
Come 1955 Sydney borrowed his first lorry loaded with a small batch of fruit and vegetables from a local supplier, Frank E Benner and set off to create the empire we know today.
After over five decades of business, Scott’s Crispy Onions became the brainchild of Richard Scott and team after realising the growing popularity of the ‘tobacco onion’ trend in modern and local restaurants. With David and sons overseeing the day-to-day running of the fresh produce supply, Richard and his team began to make the Crispy Onion dream a reality.
Now five years, a new premises and four flavours later, Richard, his son Christopher and team of 12 work consistently to produce flavoursome, sweet and easily prepared crispy onions for everyone to enjoy at home.
